I feel like this app insists on making decisions that should be mine to make. I connect with USB, but it insists on connecting with Bluetooth. It insists on listening in, too. I'm also having trouble getting it to perform simple tasks like playing music. Maybe Google requires me to talk to the robot so that it can evesdrop on me, but the car's interface has buttons and I'm old school.

Android Auto allows me to connect my phone to my Chevy Equinox and project Google Maps on the screen so I can see it better. It also puts phone calls through the car speaker, although I have rarely used that as I don't normally talk on the phone while driving. It's handy for getting rid of those d@mned automated calls, though. It likely has other uses, though I haven't explored them.

Some big improvement in Android Auto. Need to be able to set up the options for text messages to be able to have them to be read by command or to allow by a touch to the screen or say yes. I use Waze and have trouble reporting the traffic issues on command. For example "vehicle on shoulder, heavy traffic, stand still traffic by using your voice say ok Google first and the commands listed above. System works as designed; then the very next drive it will not except any voice commands.
