It's a convoluted flashcard game... can you remember the translation? Great - but do you remember what little picture is assigned to that word? If not, then too bad. I understand trying to connect a word to a concept, but you only get the iclandic word and a picture for an abstract concept like "thank you" or "I love you" if you mix up the pictures then learning breaks down

Learning icelandic using this app makes it fun, wanting me to actually go premium (trying to save money). I used to "learn" Spanish at school but was difficult, this app actually makes me want to learn the language in a fun game-like way instead of just doing it for grades. I would strongly recommend for those interested in any language. (Icelandic is tough from what I hear when it comes to conjunctions and what not).

I enjoy learning the language word by word, but I feel that the ability to choose the topic you are learning can lead to jumping of a cliff when there is a trail the leads down. I learned how to ask where a restaurant is, before I learned the word for restaurant. That is an example of leaping before looking if I have ever heard of one. I'm a little over a year in and I'm looking forward to the next year. It's my only option or icelandic that doesn't put me on the streets
