Good app for practicing vocab for GRE. Only thing I've noticed is some of the words appear to have multiple potential "correct" definitions depending on context. I appreciate that the app teaches alternative definitions for words, but it would be nice to have a bit of context in the prompt. I've begun to start assuming words are using their lesser known definitions and have been performing better since.

I think so far this app is really good. I'm a proficient reader and was 5 grades ahead of my peers as a child... I've selected "wrong" answers at level one because they are without context. For example, Constraint means "limit" but I selected tightness. Clearly the word was chosen because it can be used that way. I think someone honing English may be confused by this type of oversight. I just started so I'll see how it goes.

Very good. Simple interface - in a good way - makes learning the meanings of words painless, even fun. The level of randomness, and the amount and timing of repetition of words is excellent. There are a lot of words but I feel like there could be even more; there are just so many words in the language! All that said, what we were really looking for was prep for the SSAT (and in the fall, the ISEE). My son is working with the SAT words for now.
