The app works well with my cheap Canavis DVR, and I have been using it for years. I recently discovered that the ads (specifically the full-page, unskipable one when you first open the app) can be turned off in the settings which was a huge relief. I never really minded the small banner ads, but being able to disable the startup ad was a major improvement.

I am modifying my review some. The issue doesn't seem to be the app. It's the cloud server the app is connecting to. It may be blocking the new version of the app. What I did was bypass the cloud server and use the DDNS ( Dynamic DNS option ) . I then open a port on my router and connected directly to my NVR. It's actually faster to do this option instead.

I've used this app for several years now.. it's always been quirky, lacked modern features, but was functional. Now they have it full of extremely annoying and overly aggressive ads (ads that use sound too.. huge turn-off). Idk even know if you can get an ad-free version or not, but it's absolutely annoying to use.
