Every update of this app gets worse. Downloading still can't show progress, and 9/10 times, I end up with empty maps in the backcountry. There's about 47 different map layers with gaias name on it, but a lot of them are blank and have no content, but still try to download in the background, making the app unusable. After almost 4 years of subscribing, I will not be renewing my membership because the app has gotten clunkier and more broken since being taken over by outside magazines.

Using v2024.9 (8722) on Android v16, map overlays get removed from the active display when you change screen orientation each time you start the app. For example, I typically use the Satellite map with the USGS Topo map overlayed at roughly 50% opacity. When I start the app in portrait mode it's as expected but when I change to landscape, the USGS Topo layer gets removed and moved to near the bottom of the list. I have to reset the layer everytime I start the app.

It has been terrible since the rate increase. I don't think I have even been able to use it in 3 months. App opens but constantly needs to be signed in again. If I have service when I open it, I don't know my password. So I end up in the free version. Now I have my password and it won't even open. Keeps saying error. So I literally can't use it at all. I tried to go on the desktop website, it won't open. So I can't even log on to cancel. I paid a higher rate just 3 months ago for renewal
