About this app

AntennaPod is a podcast manager and player that gives you instant access to millions of free and paid podcasts, from independent podcasters to large publishing houses such as the BBC, NPR and CNN. I was pretty excited to use this after I read a recommendation. A couple weeks into using it, I noticed two issues: 1) Audio won't play on Android Auto (Google Pixel 6a). To get it to come back, I need to start another app, have that it play something, then go back to this app. That fixes it every time, but it's a big hassle, and one I'd rather not need to do while driving! 2) Podcasts cut off before the end, and sometimes have glitches where bits in the middle are skipped over. Needs fixing

When Google Podcasts was discontinued, I went looking for something with similar features (namely, a lot of flexibility for organizing my very long and ever changing queue). I'm very happy with my decision to try AntennaPod, this app offers even better functionality in my opinion. My only suggestion would be to enable a feature to easily move to the bottom of the queue without scrolling, or to add new shows to the top of the queue (thus making it unnecessary to scroll to the bottom).

I migrated to AntennaPod when Google Podcast was shutting down. I've found AntennaPod easy to learn, and it does what I need it to do, without a bunch of extraneous features. The one thing I do think could use improvement is finding new podcasts, which is currently not very easy to navigate unless you have a name to search with. If you have specific podcasts you like, or you want an easy to use podcast player for RSS feeds, AntennaPod is a good choice.
