About this app

The latest app for weightlifters doing Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 program! Five/Three/One is a focused and intuitive app helping you achieve what really matters: Getting Stronger.

No more bringing a crumbled workout sheet to the gym, no more messing around spreadsheets to update your weights. From calculating your cycles, to telling you what plates to put on the bar, Five/Three/One does it all.

Features include:
- Planning and scheduling your whole 5/3/1 cycle
- Charting your progress
- Rest timer with notifications
- Automatic plating calculation
- Calculating your next cycle based on your performance
- Notes associated with each sets
- Home screen widget showing your your current and upcoming workouts
- Lbs/kg support

Optional paid features:
- Customize which plates you're using and change your barbell's weight
- Customize templates assistance work and define your own exercises
- Beyond 5/3/1 templates and options, from Joker Sets to FSL, Pyramid and much more!

As weightlifters doing 5/3/1 ourselves, we made the app we wanted after being dissatisfied with what was out there. More than just a glorified spreadsheet, we designed it to be focused on each task at hand. With even more great features in the pipeline, we're stoked to release the app for others to use and can't wait to hear your feedback!

We use it, we love it, and we're sure you will too.

More just a question: looks like the app only projects your workout profession like a week or two in advance - does the program keep running indefinitely or do you have to pay to unlock the full program? Also, it seems like the BBB sets don't increase in load even if you complete them successfully? Other than that, enjoying the app, finding it very intuitive.

Hey there. Glad you’re enjoying the app! As for your questions: after every cycle, the app shows a suggested next cycle with adjusted training maxes. You can do this forever even without paying for any feature. BBB sets percentages don’t increase automatically between cycles. Send me an email at [email protected] if you have any questions.

I really liked the app, but I seem to have encountered a bug when I switched phones and imported the .json file from the previous phone. Since importing the .json, the app won't let me: save any progress, export a new .json, and it defaults to the startup settings each time I load it up. I've tried reinstalling the app and it didnt help, and I checked to make sure the appropriate permissions were in use. I can still use the app, but it's a bummer to lose my progress.

Overall I really like it. Only been through one workout so far but seems like a solid way to track 5/3/1. My only wish is being able to change the weights on the different Cycles. For example on the boring but big sets sometimes the weight is too light and I need to up (not ego lifting just too light because it lowers it too much). Edit: that setting exists under edit cycle! You can set what the % of the 1RM. Changing to 5 stars
