the entire reason I purchased the nighthawk router was for the app. I wanted to easily be able to turn off access to wifi, the app worked for about 6 months and then stopped. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as updating the app. Still doesn't work, you have to login on the web to access the router which takes forever! Very disappointed

It's a good app, but it is very annoying. It has a pop-up every other second asking if there is an issue to report it. Setting up a router has a long loading time, and on top of that, it just quits out of the process randomly and it ends up taking a million times longer than it should. Router setup isn't always like this but it happening at all is annoying. I will say though besides that it is a very good app for managing your internet and router settings. I'd say once your set up, it is great.

The router keeps turning on and off, losing my connections and links. I am unable to trace the problem thru Nighthawks control system, and i don't want to become an IT Tech to figure it out. It needs to be more intuitive for the normal consumer. I've invested countless hours trying to figure out the reason for the disconnections over a few years, and the problem always returns. The signal is strong within the house and extended yard, and the incoming provider s signal is 100% by Speedtest.
