8/17: If your goal this year was to make the app more inefficient, you've succeeded. App no longer refreshes (an issue since 2023) and still flags I have unread messages when they've been read. Latest stupidity (11/12/24) - a pop up about events where the button below the "see what's new" button is cut off at the bottom of my screen - can't see what it is, and there's no way to get rid of the pop up to check my messages. Closing app does not resolve the issue, so now I can't use the app...again.

It's a really good, fun, and easy way to stay in contact with friends. It really comes in handy, if you don't have any phone numbers of people u know. It's not overwhelming with pop-up notifications. It's also very easy to use. I would recommend this app for beginners, or those that are unfamiliar with chatting or texting in groups because it gives easy to follow instructions, and it doesn't take long to learn all of its features.

The app used to be somewhat okay, but it's gotten much worse with recent updates. The search function within groups is now all but useless since it only searches a few days at a time. Media is cropped to a certain aspect ratio on android so you have to click into gifs just to read the text on them. They took away the persistent like button in favor of a "double tap to like" system, which I assume was to appear more modern, but messages constantly move as people type, so it's frustrating to do.
