Slow, buggy app! The reason it gets two stars is because it works ok with my LG washer and dryer. However, the Premium Care warranties I purchased for both appliances are still not listed in the app and it's been months since I added the appliances to the app. The app remote control function for my LG TV is extremely buggy and unresponsive. If my phone sits idle for just a few minutes while using the TV remote, the remote interface becomes grayed out and I have to restart the app. Please fix!

Something just changed requiring me to give up my location data privacy to use the app to act as a remote for my TV. My response is hell no. You didn't need it before and you won't get it now. Your data greed is just goingvto get your app deleted and your products ddowngraded to would not buy again. I paid for the TV that should be all I need to give you to access the functionality. I used it for over a year without having to enable it. You don't need it and not gonna allow it. Ever.

Each permission is needed to ensure the app functions properly. Location is only used to search for networks when connecting your product over Wi-Fi. ^LG

Cannot add any devices to the app without giving it precise location access. They'll lie to you and say it's for app functionality, but it's because they're selling your data. Edit: When they tell you location is needed to set up your device, ask why the app still requires location *after* everything is set up, and why the app permissions explicitly say that they'll share your data with third parties. Do not trust LG on this one.

We can assure you that we take your privacy very seriously. Location is only used to search for networks when connecting your product over Wi-Fi. Please send a note to [email protected] and we would be happy to assist further. ^LG
