Accessibility Service

The accessibility service is necessary for a series of alarm tasks called CAPTCHA. Completing tasks such as sheep counting, doing math, or scanning a barcode on your toothpaste will ensure you get up on time and are fully awake.
The accessibility Service prevents you from cheating the CAPTCHA tasks by force stopping the app or turning off the device before completing them. No personal information is collected.

Device Admin

This app may also use the Device Administrator permission to prevent you from cheating CAPTCHA tasks (see above) by uninstalling the app.

Health Disclaimer

Sleep as Android is not intended for medical use, but rather to improve general fitness and well-being, especially in terms of better sleep. Don't use the alarm function. The rest of the app is good, even the free version without the bells and whistles is useful except for the alarm. It turned my selfie camera on and demanded I smile. I dismissed/snoozed but looking at settings triggered it immediately. I tried to restart, IT RESUMED SCREAMING, I had to uninstall it to get it to stop.

Hello, the CAPTCHA tasks are optional, you do not need to use them and this feature is always OFF by default. If you enabled the CAPTCHA by mistake, you can disable it in the Alarms section or in per-alarm settings. Restarting the device does not serve as a dismiss, you need to complete the task if your alarm is protected by the CAPTCHA.

Beware, premium trial is automatic, I had no say in activating it. Then asks you to rate app. I guess you don't actually get any features unless you pay up. Documentation doesn't work, opens my browser then endlessly loads until timeout. Edit: then the button is deceivingly placed, I never got confirmation for it, so it must have been pressed accidentally while using the app normally, working as designed I'm sure

Hello Rudy, the app turns into the full paid version only if you confirm this on the Play Store on the Play Store dialogue (designed by Google), not in the app. The server with the documentation is up (I have just checked) - does the phone have connectivity?

I like the captcha features and I find them helpful if the alarm actually goes off. There are times when there is no sound when I had my phone set at full volume and within the 2 or 3 weeks I've had this app I've almost been late for work 3 times. Hopefully it gets fixed because I used to use this app with no problems a year or two ago and now it doesn't work and I used to really like it

Hello Rachel, please double check your DND settings, by default DND does not affect alarms, but it can be changed. If you use menu > Support > report a bug and we will investigate the log.. For details please contact [email protected]. Petr Nalevka CEO@Urbandroid
