About this game

Play with numbers and learn mathematics together with Alfie Atkins! Children love learning new things through play. This app, Play 123, Alfie Atkins, stimulates children’s learning skills by clearly connecting the function and purpose of numbers and simple mathematical symbols in an experimental, playful way.

In his kitchen, Alfie has a recipe book with all kinds of amazing recipes that he loves cooking for himself, his family and friends. By tracing and writing the numbers on the screen, children will learn the appearance and sound of each number and train their motor skills and muscle memory. Using these numbers and simple mathematics children will then be able to cook dishes in the game that can be decorated with spices and other extras, which spawns creativity and results in many laughters as the dishes are served to Alfie and his family and friends. New decorations and recipes are unlocked as children progress in the game which motivates long-lived gameplay and enables continuous learning in a fun and pedagogic environment.

The app has been developed and tested in collaboration with teachers and students in schools in Finland and Sweden, the pedagogic parts have been developed together with researchers at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki. The app has been developed based on children's needs and does not feature points, time limits or other elements that could lead to failure or stress. Children will play and learn using the app on their own terms and at their own pace, in preschool, at school or at home.

Play and learn:
• The name and pronunciation of numbers
• The meaning and values of numbers
• To form and write numbers
• Fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination
• The basics of mathematics
• Creativity and experimenting
• To follow simple cooking recipes

The app is available in 6 different languages, and the full version allows the creation of individual profiles for multiple children.

I'm actually trying to delete the paid subscription on my husband's account because it's still linked to a trial we had a while ago and so I'm using it for free but yet still getting charged I don't know how to do that. I checked the information and it's not being shared through Google family share it's on the same email and the same device. Every time my daughter plays it she enjoys it it's just every time she opens it, I'm reminded 🙄 any email info I'd appreciate.

Paid for the extended version and was very disappointed to find that the paid for version involved a minimum of extra features. Don't pay for this app!

Hi, thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear the full version of the app didn't meet your expectations. With the full version you get access to all the numbers to trace and learn, and access to more unlockables and recipes to cook with Alfie and his friends. Maybe you missed some of these unlocked features when you looked?
