About this app

Oojao Image Editor is a powerful and free photo editor designed for Android. It supports cool effects, multiple projects/tabs and layers.

This app is ad-supported to keep it free, but ads are not annoying and can be quickly closed or temporarily turned off in Settings. And there are no ads while editing!

You can do all the usual canvas or free layer manipulation such as resize, crop, drawing, erase, draw shapes, bucket fill, select, copy, paste, delete, move, align, rotate, flip and more.

Adjust brightness, contrast and saturation with filters or apply effects such as sharpen, blur, bump, shadow and many more. Undo and redo are available, and you can also save a set of actions and presets to re-apply them later.

Save your work with layers so you can continue editing later.

Edit: A smaller size file was needed. The original image was 1.9Mb. I used a screenshot of it, 956kb, and the app worked ok. Phone is a 2022 Moto G Power. Don't remember there being a size issue for a mobile photo saved from an MMS Came back after a few months to the app and it's now being unusably slow and crashing. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my phone and all.. This was my go-to photo editor app and now I can't even use it.

Confusing and seems to be very hit or miss on different devices, but I gotta say I couldn't live without this. Very very very very useful for edits or art. I wish I could attach all the things I've created with this into my review. However again it can be confusing to just drop into, and some user caution is advised because the undo history can turn a little glitchy and wacko on longer projects. I FULLY recommend you try this one. The one star off is only for the ads but it doesnt ruin anything.

I'll be working on a picture, it will save. I can see the results from another app. But at times, working on a picture it just doesn't save after it has saved before and this is saving change to it looking at the adjustments in the other app. Then going back and making more changes and check it again. Also seem less capable than it is on my older Samsung S models. It can't keep up with me on my S23 Ultra. I do use this app allot. I have been using it to make textures for Minecraft.

Do you save by pressing Gallery or Choose Location? How do you know it did not save?
