With the HSL app you can buy tickets for Helsinki region public transport, find the best routes and get targeted traffic information. In the HSL app you will find e.g. single, day and season tickets for both adults and children. Bus, train, metro, tram and ferry – all with the same app. You can pay easily e.g. with a payment card.
In addition to tickets, there is also a journey planner in the HSL app. Journey planner tells you e.g. the best route and the ticket, which is needed for the route. In the HSL app, you can also see up-to-date transport information for the areas and lines you have selected.

Absolutely the most worthless app ever. So glitchy! Takes you to the same screen over and over again after you've pressed enter or next. Constantly asking for a verification code, I can't get them here and they won't send them via WhatsApp, to set up an account even though I'm using it as a "guest". By comparison, the Pilet.ee app in Estonia is amazing!

Then proceed onboarding by not creating an account (if you only need single or daily tickets). If the problem persists please contact our customer support and we will look into this with detail. It's rather frustrating that in a city that prides itself on being welcoming to foreigners, the primary app to interact with the city transit system does not allow you to register unless you have a Finnish phone number. And even worse, it does not tell you it doesn't accept foreign phone numbers. It simply does not work with no explanation why. An unbelievable oversight. My review will remain one star until this changes.

If it's not broke dont fix it. Just get it right and chill with the updates . Ever since this latest version if you buy a ticket and go use another app ex: spotify to listen to music on your trip, your route is lost and you have to search all over again. It keeps prompting you to buy a ticket when you already have one. Tickets fail to load in a timely manner which gets you left at the bus stops, and it crashes constantly. It was so much easier and simpler to use before this version.
