It works until you try to use any of the within app "Setting" button options About Us, Data Sampling, or Time Off...then the app ALWAYS locks-up and you have to restart it. However, you're fine if all you need to do is watch the realtime windspeed and temp digits on phone's screen, use the on phone screen virtual 'select' buttons eg Max/Min/Realtime speed display button; Unit button; temp C/F button; or remotely turn on/off the tool's LCD display light. And, the bottom onscreen buttons "Home" and "Data" work as expected. So it IS useful...just can't use ALL the features you should be able to. Irritating. I might also mention the hardware. The blade assembly in the tools I examined were not well balanced, and comparing 3 different units showed different friction levels in the spinning assemblies...which did lead to some minor wind speed reporting inconsistencies. Even "flipping" the tool over (blade assembly still vertical but long length side of tool horizontal to ground) produced minor speed reading differences. Perhaps a magnetic levitation bearing for the spinning assembly would fix these issues (but it does require more power). Something odd going on with Bluetooth. While the AP-007-APP anemometer IS connected via Bluetooth and working and displaying realtime speed and temp data on the phone's screen, and the unit's green LED is on...when I examine the phone's "Settings">>"Connections">>"Bluetooth" it does NOT list the anemometer in the connected Bluetooth devices list...yet it is connected and working via the Bluetooth connection (phone's WiFi is verified off)

The app basically clones the controls on the physical anemometer, which is useful. It also records data in real-time (actually there is a second or two latency/delay for the app to present the data as shown on the actual anemometer screen). Data sampling seems to be one sample per second. There's theoretically an option to change this but of selected the app crashes. Same for the other two options at the bottom of the screen. That's disappointing/annoying

Using the BT-100-APP with a Samsung Galaxy S20+. Ok if you just want to see the measurement on the phone screen. Cannot control anything from the phone app. Cannot save anything. Reports "Save Failed" even though requested storage permissions have been granted. Sometimes has phantom connect where it thinks it's connected but the app just reads a wind speed of zero whilst the device shows the proper windspeed. Restarting the app and power cycling the device usually fixes it.
