If only, it ran on my most recent Android phone. I've had this beautiful app since Blackberry Playbooks were a thing... seriously. It's a gorgeous beat sequencer that is super intuitive and even an excellent tool for children to explore electronic music. Unfortunately, it is out of date and finally stopped working on my newer Android phone as of 2021.

NodeBeat is a classic, having been in the game for a long time. Great at simple and straightforward generative music. But in 2022, I would really love an update with some new features. Perhaps choosing new samples for percussion for starters? It doesn't do everything but it has a great and straightforward interface. I wouldn't want to clutter it up. But if it could do even just a *little* bit more I'd be using it a lot.

I've just installed it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 Lite running Android 12, but the gear icon at the bottom right of the screen doesn't seem to do anything. I tap it and nothing happens. So I installed it on my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note8, and on the phone, tapping the gear icon brings up the Settings menu. Maybe because the phone is running Android 9 and the tablet is running Android 12? I sent the developer an email, but it was bounced, so I'm not sure if it's still being supported.
