About this game

Check out SIMULACRA, the spiritual sequel

Sara has disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and your only lead is her mobile phone.

Search for clues by investigating Sara's personal messages, notes, emails, pictures and videos while trying to piece together her final days. Unlock password protected files, uncover hidden messages and decrypt lost data and figure out where she went, what she did, and how someone can disappear without a trace so suddenly.

About the game:

Experience first hand a found footage style mobile game. Sara is Missing (SIM) is all about the horrors of mobile technology and touches upon the voyeuristic pleasure that one gets from prying through another person's personal items. We store so much information about ourselves on our mobile devices that deducing what we really are like in real life becomes as simple as tapping on a screen.

Features:

- Multiple choices will lead to multiple outcomes and endings.
- Chat with different people at the same time.
- Receive phone calls from NPCs and other mysterious callers.
- Hidden sub plots and extra information to unlock.
- Send and receive videos and photos from other NPCs.
- Simulated mobile phone helper, providing hints.
- Utilizing a similar typing mechanic as popular messaging apps.

I love a good fashion horror game. Sara Is Missing may be short, but the story and concept more than make up for it. It lacks annoying puzzles, and I think this is really important. Too many horror games try to involve puzzles, and it completely ruins the entire experience. It takes away the mood needed to enjoy a proper horror game. Sara Is Missing was done with amazing work. I love the digital aspect of this horror game, and it's different from other horror games.

Very interesting, immersive game. The end was a bit abrupt, and a tad confusing. It was a bit short, but I think the game was free (or at least very cheap, I can't remember because I downloaded it a long time ago and just now played it), so it wasn't too surprising that it wasn't long. Really good work on creating this sort of "snapshot" of a person's life in just a small bit of phone data (and quite clever to make it "damaged", to explain why there's not a ton of info left). Very fun!

To put it simply this game is truly a horror story. Very freaky but very confusing. Usually I look for an interactive game that takes a bit of time to solve and this did not do that. The ending is also very bizarre. The first time I played I figured I must have done something wrong so I chose a different answer and got the same ending. I would have liked it to be more immersive but besides that it's pretty good.
