About this game

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.

GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.

GRIS is an experience with almost no text, only simple control reminders illustrated through universal icons. The game can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their spoken language.

This game requires a LOT of patience. It takes a very, very long time to get anywhere , and there's almost nothing to do besides hold your finger on the screen, motionless, while a tiny figure runs for what seems like ages through a desolate sidescrolling hellscape. Then when she can't run further, the solution is always to just run back the other direction, find something to jump onto, and then keep running. Again, all you do is hold your finger on the screen. Don't waste your time.

I saw this game on Game of the Week, decided to download, and I was surprised by how good it was. The environment is stunning. The gameplay and controls are similar to Limbo. As someone who started with mobile games, I think the controls are good, but if you're not used to it, use the controller. Same thing with other games like Sky Children of Light, Alto Games, and Limbo. Anyway, I want to say this game is a masterpiece. Definitely recommended to try, but don't get addicted lol

This game is a masterpiece but you ABSOLUTELY need a controller to play. The graphics can be tiny at times on a phone screen but they are sharp enough to still be visible. I was not able to make it past the first area without a controller, and knowing how difficult and timed some of the later levels are, I can't imagine who could complete it without one. The most beautiful graphics and the loveliest audio - her singing will stick with me for a long time.
