About this app

Seabook is an app that makes it easy to find out what kind of fish, corals or creatures you've seen underwater!

First of all you can open the category you need: "Fish", "Creatures" or "Corals, Sponges, Plants". There are 78 identification groups of fish such as Sharks, Clownfishes, Butterflyfishes, Parrotfishes, Groupers, Jacks, Puffers and Filefishes, Frogfishes and many others. "Creatures" are grouped by Molluscs, Mammals, Echinoderm, Crustaceans, Reptiles, Jellyfishes and Worms. The category "Corals, Sponges, Plants" has a similar grouping: Corals, Sponges, Tunicata and Plants. The total number of groups and subgroups is 275, which you can open and identify the fish, creature or coral whose name you doubt.

The easiest way to explore and identify is using our filters:
>> Select "Fish", "Creatures" or "Corals, Sponges, Plants".
>> Search by color, pattern, location, body shape, social behavior, tail fin shape, etc.
Or, if you know a scientific or common name, use the Direct Search feature.
>> Open the list of marine life that match the specified criteria and find the one you were looking for.
>> Enjoy the result: great photo, description, distribution, habitat, lifestyle, legal status, maximum size and depth, and more.

More than 1500 species among fish, sharks, rays, nudibranchs and other molluscs, crustaceans, echinoderms and etc.

Seabook is a great solution for diving safari: turn on offline mode and use the app even on safari or remote diving sites without an internet connection. To fill your logbooks about who you met underwater, you no longer need heavy books - everything you need is already in your smartphone.

Seabook is the perfect app for scuba divers, freedivers, snorkelers, marine biologists and aquarium enthusiasts who would like to discover what marine life they have met and learn more about them.

I'm in love with this app! Fish is my passion, and I've been looking for an app like this for a while now! I will say, though, the premium version is a bit overpriced and there are a lot of species yet to be added, but I'd for sure spend a bit on it without thinking twice if it was an one time purchase instead of a subscription.

Hi Ana. Thank you so much for your valueble feedback ❤️. More then 1000 new species are on the way. Also I'm going to make all basic info about creatures available for free in the future. But for now I need subscription more like dontation option, rather then a payment to cover development and marketing expenses. Stay tuned and happy bubbles!

cool app in theory, but they have a truly limited catalogue for Argentina, listing mostly species that you would find in the south coast. I was hoping to identify a specific kind of anemone, but the search feature seemed to be mainly suited for fish! would love an update with a more comprehensive catalogue.

Hi Cami, first of all, thank you for your valuable feedback. That's true, that for now Seabook focused on fishes mostly. We'll definetely increase database size with new corals and creatures as well soon. We'll also take a look into Argentina location to provide more species in the future for it. Stay tuned!
