I had to buy a new phone in order to use the new version of software. Lousy policy, Fargo. *Yes, the app was incompatible with my phone. WF sent a notice to me that the new version wouldn't be compatible with my Galaxy S8, android version 9 phone. Why? That's half the problem. The other half is that they turned off functionality for the older, compatible version I had been using. Again, why?

I too have a Samsung galaxy note 8, which this app is no longer compatible with. I agree with the others.. It's absolutely ridiculous and completely unnecessary for the developers to render the new version incompatible! And I also agree that maybe all of us should find a new bank! I too refuse to be forced to buy a new phone just for this app to work! I'm sure there are plenty of choices of banks whose apps will work fine on my phone! Bad business Wells Fargo!

Not being able to update the app due to compatibility issue can be unpleasant. The app requires the minimum operating system of iPhone: iOS 15 or higher and Android: OS 10 or higher. App was ok until they dumb-ified their alerts system on Sep 12th, removed key alerts and made it worse. It went from very useful to dumb. Customers no longer get text messages or app notifications with the exact account balance. Instead the only balance alert is a useless one with static high low thresholds. Now you have to login to see the balance. So you have to be in an area with a good data network. Multiple steps to see balance. Can't see balance history on text messages. Very painful.
