About this app

This Finite Element Method (FEM) app is especially useful for civil engineers, mechanical engineers, architects and students who wish to design 1D hyperstatic frames.

You can input and edit geometry, forces, supports, loadcases etc. The calculation results are performed instantly.

Main features include:
āœ“ F, T and q (rectangular and triangular) loads
āœ“ Fixed and hinge connections at beam ends
āœ“ Fixed, hinge, roller and spring supports in any direction
āœ“ Imposed deflections
āœ“ Add or edit materials
āœ“ Add or edit sections
āœ“ Load cases and load combinations, including safety factors
āœ“ Moment, Shear, Stress, Deflection, Reaction forces and Unity checks

Its a good app but I am confused, in my current analysis, the reaction force at hinge A is directed upward. However, in the shear force diagram, this force is depicted as a downward force. This has caused some confusion regarding the interpretation of the shear force diagram

It's an awesome app. Been really helpful. Although when I put in value for *imposed deflection it does not reflect on my calculation. So it means the app can not solve beams or frames with settlement or imposed deflection. I will like to hear from the developers.

Thank you! Please send a screenshot with to problem to [email protected]. Make sure you input the imposed deflection in the correct direction. Sometimes it helps to input a very large deflection (e.g.300mm) so you can clearly validate the results (the overal deflection dtot).

Works great for checking work. The Export function causes the app to crash, though. I'd really like that feature.
