About this app

Clear Fear provides you with a range of ways to manage anxiety.

Developed by a clinician co-collaboratively with young people, Clear Fear uses a Cognitive Behavioural framework to help you change anxious thoughts and emotions, alter anxious behaviours and calm fear responses.

It also has helpful descriptions of the different ways in which anxiety shows, resources and a grit box to boost resilience.

It is recommended for the ages of 11-19 years but can be used by a younger group with the support of a parent or carer.

Clear Fear compliments, but does not substitute for the assessment and ongoing support of a mental health.

It's fantastic and very in-depth, I really love this app. It also has great security to protect privacy and has different exercises to help with different types of anxiety. But, unfortunately, after I closed out the app it deleted all my information and I had to start all over. If the developers could fix this issue, it would be the perfect anxiety app.

In the meantime, please try clearing your device cache: with the app installed, go to settings, apps, Clear Fear. Then there should be an option to CLEAR DATA and CLEAR CACHE. Thank you.

I really like the app but it is hard to find things in the menus. An example is anxiety types and info are separate and safety net, immediate help buttons should have been together under the clear fear button instead of goal setting. Menus could be simple like goals, inspiration, relax, information and a button to clear anxiety rather than repeating the same safety net and other activities within multiple menus. Also there is no Cbt.

This is a cool and helpful app. However, I would encourage it to do more research on OCD though, it really does not give a great explanation and implies that OCD is synonymous with health anxiety. That very much is one common OCD theme, but it is far from the wide scope of things that affect many different people with OCD.
