About this app

Want to refresh your memory on named chemical reactions before an exam or a group meeting? The free ReactionFlash(R) app is a great way to learn named reactions, understand their mechanisms and view examples published in peer-reviewed literature or patents.

Designed and developed in consultation with Professor Dr. Erick M. Carreira of ETH Zürich, the app now covers over 1'250 named chemistry reactions. Professor Carreira has helped ensure that we have all the fundamental reactions that should be part of every chemist’s toolkit: from the best-known ones to the ones only Nobel Prize winners remember!

The app is designed like a set of flash cards so it can be used as a learning tool as well as a reference. Each ‘card’ shows the reaction, its mechanism and examples from peer-reviewed, published literature. It also has a quiz mode that lets you test your knowledge.

Linking into Reaxys enables you to find the most recent examples of each reaction, many with experimental details. Reaxys delivers experimental facts from the literature, enabling researchers to find the best synthetic routes and conditions. Find out more at https://www.elsevier.com/solutions/reaxys

Download the app now and see if you know all the named reactions!

Summary:
- Learn named reactions
- Review and understand mechanisms
- Explore examples published in peer-reviewed literature
- Take the ReactionFlash quiz and see how much you know

Works gr8 on my old Note 8. Only problem is no exit button. The back function doesn't work either. There's a lot of apps that leave that off until enuff people complain. I'm just an old-school guy. Had to go into the inconvenient & in my humble opinion the inefficient multi-window screen in order to exit out. Didn't see any ads. Therefore 5☆'s on the "r8 ur experience for ads shown inside the app."

Hello Doug, Thank you very much for your rating and for your comment. Our team very much appreciates it. We tried to be backwards compatible as much as we could. The multi-window approach is quite common in the apps these days and the navigation would add quite some complexity. We wanted to keep the app as simple as possible. All the best Pieder

Awesome App to quickly look up a reaction. Although, on thing is annoying: Clicking a reaction rotates the screen to landscape and if you're not very careful your gyrometer rotates it right back, going back out into the menu. Edit(since i cant reply): I have read your response (same as to other replies). That would be fine, if the menu was in landscape. But it is not... So it flip flops around. It's not a user error.
