About this app
With the eBike Connect app, you can customise your eBike experience: connected, individual and interactive. Connect your Nyon or Kiox via Bluetooth with your smartphone and flexibly plan your routes, use the navigation via your display, track your activities or protect your eBike from theft with the premium function eBike Lock. The eBike Connect app offers you many helpful functions for your eBike with the Bosch eBike system 2.
Please note: This app can only be used for eBikes with Bosch drive units and Nyon or Kiox on-board computers with Bosch eBike system 2.
Route planning and navigation
Use the flexible route planning and navigation of eBike Connect. You can conveniently plan your rides and customise, import or share routes. If you synchronise with Komoot and Outdooractive, you can discover even more exciting routes. In addition, eBike Connect app suggests you routes that fit with your preferences and mood (fast, scenic or eMountainbike). If you start your planned route in the app, it will be transmitted to your display or on-board computer.
Activities and fitness
From distance and duration to calories burned: view and evaluate all details of your eBike rides.

Premium functions for more security and personalisation
- With eBike Lock, you can park your eBike in a more relaxed way: The premium function offers additional protection against thieves. As soon as you disconnect the on-board computer, the eBike's drive unit no longer provides support, deterring thieves.
- With the premium function "Individual riding modes", you can personalize your Bosch eBike and set the drive unit’s support individually.
- Based on topographical conditions and the selected support level, the eBike Connect app calculates your remaining range.
Please note: The premium function eBike Lock in conjunction with the Kiox or Nyon display is compatible with the following Bosch drive units from the Bosch eBike system 2: Bosch Active Line, Active Line Plus from model year 2018 onward, Performance Line, Performance Line Speed and Performance Line CX as well as the Cargo Line from model year 2020 on compatible.

I've been using the app for a few months. I am a very old and experienced bicyclist but I'm not an expert on this app so take this with a grain of salt. Historically I would have connectivity problems. If I didn't use the app for a month and I used my phone on other devices such as Garmin or wahoo, I would need to fuss around and take about 10 minutes and get the Bosch by computer to recognize my phone or vice versa. Navigation is primitive.

Hello Tom Witkop. Thanks for your feedback. Remove eBike Connect app from battery optimization settings and perform a new pairing (remove Kiox from BT settings, delete app, restart phone, reset #DISPLAY to factory settings, install app, reconnect). We hope this helps you. Your Bosch eBike Team

For collecting ride metrics this app is decent. It needs some way to configure when to stop/start a new "trip" though. All my rides end up being classified as multiple trips because if I stop anywhere along the way for more than a couple minutes it considers that a new "trip." Route planning is downright terrible, at least in the USA. You can add your own waypoints, so it's a step above Google Maps, but that's the only praise I can give. It constantly tries to send me on busy roads with little or even no bike infrastructure. I constantly have to fight with it, putting down multiple waypoints to get routes to go along quiet streets or dedicated cycle paths, and it seems allergic to parks. I think this may be because I have a Speed Pedelec, which are restricted from using a lot of dedicated bike infrastructure in Europe, however no such regulation exists where I live so having the app enforce these rules where they don't actually exist is a pretty big problem. Luckily you can import routes from apps like Komoot or (with a few extra steps) Strava, otherwise the navigation functionality on bosch ebikes would be pretty much worthless.

Doesn't consistently upload to Strava but the workaround of logging into the web interface and uploading works 100%. As the kiox controller has control over the rear and front lights (on/off), I really wish they would add a strobe mode for safety instead of just on and off. Update: the altitude/elevation recordings are off by more than 2-3x on most my rides. I have tried it with both a pixel 6 pro and a new razr plus and same issue.

What's new
You can now search for and filter individual rides in the eBike Connect app. Saved locations such as your home or workplace can be used as a starting point or stopover for route planning. The app is now compatible with Android 15. Bugs have also been fixed and stability improved, especially for the Kiox and Nyon Bluetooth connection. Health Connect has also been integrated into the app.
