Used this app to test Microsoft Defender. This app (and Defender!) both work perfectly! As soon as you install this, your AV app should say that it has detected a malicious threat and offer to remove it for you. Your reaction might be "Yikes! I've downloaded malware!" Relax, you haven't! Unlike the Trojan files (named after the 'horse') used to enter unprotected systems and unleash the malware they contain, the F-secure 'trojan' is like an empty box with a horse drawn on it. It's safe! 👍

Kaspersky detected this but I am still not convinced. The good point about Kaspersky is that it does have an active support staff ready to answer questions. That is important. But in answer to my question they said I have basically had to reinstall my phone. I am not willing to do that even though I have a serious malware problem. Kaspersky does not detect the serious malware problem that I have but neither did any other antivirus.

Tested on Realme phone and detected as virus by preinstalled Virus Scan Engine; Avast, indicated this app as High risk level with Risk description : 'This app is a rootkit virus, which can create a hidden filesystem to hide other malware' and also provided opted to Uninstall or Add to Allowlist. Of course select to uninstall is wise choice. Good to have more other good tester app like this; F-Secure AV Test available in Play Store, for testing certain app is functioning nor working as intended
