Booked a hotel through TripAdvisor and during the booking process the app told me there was an error and to tap to try again. I ended up double booking my hotel room. Called TripAdvisor support, I was told don't worry, I'll get refunded. Well I received an email from TA saying they can't refund me due to the hotel's policy. So because of a glitch or bug in this app, I'm out $147 for a room I don't need. Uninstalling and never booking anything through TripAdvisor again.

The amount of outdated, inaccurate, and useless information is astounding. The areas I searched were also missing the vast majority of existing businesses and recreation sites. The app also sent several full pages of unsolicited emails! Very irritating, not user-friendly at all! I did find a few existing reviews helpful. The app itself has bugs that kept erasing data I tried to save in my travel plans. When bugs are fixed and the interface is simplified, I will upgrade my rating. Not usable now.

Initially, I loved this company and this app. However, I've been using it for almost 4 years and this time, they showed how compassionate they truly are. It's all about the money. I booked fifteen excursions on TripAdvisor for our BUCKET LIST trip to the U.K. Our flights were delayed three times causing us to be a day behind schedule. Therefore, I needed to cancel three of the excursions. NO REFUNDS. We are out over $700 plus memories that will never be made. Thanks TripAdvisor.
