The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app has been created especially to help our UK customers do their everyday banking on the move. Download it today and you can:

How to log on to Mobile Banking
• If you’re registered for HSBC Online Banking, you can use your existing details
• If you’re not yet registered, simply download the app, then select ‘Register now’.

Move money
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it, or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

Most people use their phones rather than computers so it's a shame that this banking app has such limited functionality. No statement balance (without downloading statements), no "pay statement balance" option. And I wish the convoluted security code thing (on web - Is it on app too?) was optional. I really need to do that just to pay my CC bill? Refer to the Chase US app, which is the best I've used.

Notifications issue is 100% a fault with the application and not my device settings. I have 4 accounts with hsbc, transferring money between them, 1 of the accounts does actually send notifications. If it was a fault with the phone, then no accounts would. Deleting the app data and cache made no difference, and I can confirm notifications are turned on for all 4 accounts (turning this off then back on again also makes no difference). hsbc support couldn't help as this was beyond their scope.

Complete rubbish!!! Updates when it wants to without giving you a choice to update later, then is not compatible with current phone!! There is no option to not update so eventually, you are left stranded without access to your banking so thought any prior notice. Shockingly bad service!! This is not the first time I have issues with this bank. I am taking my money and business elsewhere!!!

If you are unable to upgrade, please call our Online Banking Helpdesk on ☎️03456 002 290, 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, to request a physical Secure Key to access online banking. Thank you.
